About Nepal
Nepal is a landlocked Himalayan country in South Asia that shares its borders with at north and India at south, east and west. Although Nepal shares no boundaries with Bangladesh, the two countries are separated by a narrow 21 kilometers wide strip called Chicken's Neck. Efforts are in progress to make this area a free-trade zone.
Nepal territory and landscape are extremely diverse with humid Terai in the south to the lofty Himalayas in the north. Nepal boasts several high mountains, including Mount Everest which is the world’s highest mountain.
Kathmandu is the capital of Nepal as well the largest city. The main cities are Pokhara, Biratnagar, Lalitpur (Patan), Bhaktapur, Siddhartanagar, Birgunj, Janakpur, Nepalgunj, Birendranagar, Bharatpur, Hetauda, Dharan and Mahendranagar etc.
